Koto "Deep In The Night," The Art Style And Interpretation Of The Analysis

With the deepening of the Western culture and values, more and more Western musicalelements and playing techniques have been adapted in Zither works by modern composers. On theone hand, this approach has surmounted the limitations of Zither performances and achieved anartistic breakthrough; but on the other hand, the musical and cultural connotations have beenoverlooked, resulting in a high brow suspicion. The selected Zither works "Deep in the Night"combines the taking into account the new playing techniques and the possessing of the uniquenational flavor, and penetrate and empathize the general public. In this thesis, focusing mainly onthe work theme, playing techniques, playing form, the author mainly has analyzed the culturaldevelopment of contemporary Zither music reflected by Zither works, which are affected by thetraditional culture. The author has also presented the thoughts of the development directions of thecontemporary Zither works.
