Ancient zither is a traditional Chinese musical instruments, hasing rich cultural heritage, and the music theory of Ancient zither is also extensive and profound. In recent years, Chinese zither is very populer all over the world because of its beautiful melody, nice timbre,restrained and untremmelled cultural characteristic. However, due to a lack of understanding of the deep cultural connotation of the Chinese zither and the unique aesthetic sense, the spread of Zither in today's society results in serious consequences that people pay more attention to skills but not intension. So that the spread of Chinese zither is mere formality,which has not produced an effect on the misic and culture in the international or even in Chinese music world.As an old instrument that has thousands of years of traditions and rich connotation, the culture construction and propagation of zither arts is seriously lagging behind, which must be changed.This paper probes into the soul of Ancient zither arts by means of comparing Han and Wei Dynasties to Tang and Song Dynasties. Through the comparation of two periods,this paper draw a conclusion about the aesthetic value and meaning of life about Chinese zither. The study reveals the evolution and characteristics of zither esthetic by doing the research of "QI", "Yun" aesthetics categories,and drawing a comparison with Han Wei and Tang Song dynasties.This article probs into the effects that the ancient zither produce to modern music from the cultural and aesthetic point of view.This paper explores how to combine the aesthetics of modern music and the requirements of the times with ancient zither to achieve the combination of ancient and modern zither culture.
