"Will" A Multi-angle Study

This paper argues that "ye jiu" not only as two adverbs used in conjunction with, but there are quite strong lexicalization tendency as well. Based on this, the paper analyzes "ye jiu" in syntax, semantics and language characteristics firstly; then analyzes the lexicalization process of "ye jiu" and "ye X", include the related issues, as well.First, syntactically,"ye jiu" has some fixed forms and fixed syntactic collocations."ye jiu" most commonly used in ddeclarative sentence, sometimes appears in questions, more and more appears in exclamation sentences, and basically does not appear in imperative sentence. Different language unit connections of "ye jiu" will have a different subject looming.Sentence of "ye jiu" has four different semantic relations,such as "Object+Commentary ingredients+relationship". Because of "ye jiu" is not a completely word, so "ye" and "jiu" have different semantic points. In modern Chinese "ye jiu" have a different usage, so as the subjective emotional justice of "ye jiu"."ye jiu" can appear at the beginning, middle and the end of a sentence in the chapter, its textual cohesion function mainly rely onextrusion and co-occurrence with other conjunctions. The cohesive function of "ye jiu" can be divided into two categories:confirmation and explanation, and five small categories: following confirmation, progressive confirmation, objective explanation, restrictive explanation and evaluative explanation.Second, the first conjunction use of "ye jiu" is in the Yuan Dynasty, while lexicalization began in the Ming Dynasty, in Qing Dynasty, there was a certain lexicalization, and to the modern times, lexicalization has been very strong in some usage. The motivations of the lexicalization of "ye jiu" arr as following:speech conditions, frequency of use, psychological cognitive, and pragmatics promotion.In modern Chinese, there are still a series of "ye X" lexicalization, The analyzetion of "ye X" in the aspects of the etymology, syntactic and semantic features, as well as the role "ye" plays in the "ye X" lexicalization can make the features of the lexicalization of "ye jiu" more clear.
