[Object]:Testing the clinical effect on treating the acute tonsillitis by the way of traditional Chinese medicine treatment program, to offer an effective and reliable, easy to use, feasibility, easy to promote the use of TCM medicine treatment programs for clinical。[Subjects and Methods]:Cases of acute tonsillitis from October2012to March2013, collected from all43partner hospitals,2:1proportion divided into two groups(2in treatment group while1in control group, according to the order of patients outpatient). The therapeutic group treated acute tonsillitis with TCM treatment programs, while control group treated with conventional Western medicine. By observing the treatment efficient of two groups, completion of treatment time, normal vital signs of patients, integral indicator of the severity of the clinical symptoms and signs of change, evaluate1day,2days, or3days efficacy, and observe possible adverse reactions during the course of treatment, possible adverse reactions. Use SPSS package for data analysis and processing。[Result]:1. The total efficiency difference between the two groups is not statistically significant, the total of the two groups are quite efficient. The cure rate and markedly effective rate (cure+effective) of reatment group (TCM treatment programs) are superior to control group (Western medicine treatment group), the difference is statistically significant, the overall effect of the Chinese medicine treatment program group is superior to Western medicine treatment groups。2. Chinese medicine treatment program group in improving the size of the tonsils, tonsil congestion, secretions around the tonsils, throat pain, fever, irritating cough, a sense of obstruction, congestion and adhesions jaw arch, sweating, thirst, fatigue is superior to Western medicine treatment group, the difference was statistically significant. In treating nausea within3days, Western medicine treatment group is better than Chinese medicine treatment group, the difference shows statistically meaning。3. Signs and symptoms score comparison:patients’signs and symptoms score improvement of treatment group is better than Western medicine treatment group, the difference has statistically significance, traditional Chinese medicine treatment programs can significantly improve the patient’s clinical symptoms and signs out。4. The incidence of adverse reactions of TCM treatment programs is lower than Western medicine treatment group, but the difference is not statistically significant.[Conclusion]:The overall efficiency of TCM treatment program is superior to Western medicine treatment group, Chinese medicine treatment programs improve the patient’s tonsil size, tonsils congestion, secretions around the tonsils, throat pain, fever, irritating cough, a sense of obstruction, congestion and adhesions jaw arch, sweating, thirst, fatigue symptoms and signs better than Western medicine treatment options treatment time of TCM treatment programs is shorter than that of Western medicine treatment program, the cost is less than Western medicine treatment options.
