Thetechnology of things of internet (IOT), which just appeared in2005, provides a good chance formonitoring the medical activity dynamically and timely.IOT is an advanced techonology, which can connect every concerned device, article andperson together to form a ubiquitous network through RFIDs (radio frequency identificationdevices), scanners and internet and proceed uniform control through managerment informationsystem. With the help of this techonogy, the persons or things which can not talk willautomatically report their positions and running status by themselves.Although it is only in recent years that IOT has began to be applied into medical industry, ithas made a lot of achievements. The writer tries to explain the pratical application of IOTthrough case analysis method. The paper lists6practical cases such as preventment of infantstolen system, mobile out-patient infusion system, medical nuring system, remote monitoringsystem for prescription dispensing machine, intelligent heart sound detection and analysis system,central sterile supply management system. Those cases illustrate that IOT can improve themedical quality management greatly. In the end, the paper elaboratesr several related problems ofrealizing the IOT through a hospital project.It is foreseeable that IOT will surely be widely applied to hospitals in the near future, whichwill definitely exceed the lists in this paper. Those lists are just some practical application of IOTin some hospitals. When a hospital decides to carry out IOT, all kinds of factors must be takeninto consideration, such as its own technical strength, investment and demand of medicalmanagement etc.
