Catgut Embedding With The Efficacy Of Cupping Treatment Of Chronic Eczema (Spleen Wet Yun-type)

Objective:To investigat the efficacy of a combined therapy that includs pricking and cupping and catgut implantation at acupoint.Methord:Our experiment gathered68patients suffering from eczema at different ages, who were then assigned to two groups randomly. One was called experimental group,including33patients, patients in this group would receive acupoint catgut treatment embeddded with pricking and cupping therapy. In1,6,11,16,21days for a pricking and cupping therapy, and In1,6,11,16,21days for a catgut implantation at acupoint therapy.The other was called control group, which consist of35patients who would be treated by Desloratadine Tablets with0.1%Mometasone Furoate Cream. After the21days of treatment, we compared the EASI scores of the two groups before and after treatment, along with the change of target lesion scores.Evaluating the result after6-months follow-up.Results:(1) After treatment, the total effective rate of the experimental group was93.75%,while in control group the number was down to75.75%. Comparing the EASI scores between the two groups we could find a noticeable difference (P<0.001)(2)Both of two groups have impact on treatment for EASI scores. Significant difference exist in the statistical tests (P<0.001). we can judge that the curative effect in experimental group is more signficant than that in control group, namely the clinical manifestations of experimental group are better than control group in the treatment of lesionarea、papule、lichenification、itching, especially regarding itching. When P>0.05, in the aspects of cleaning lesion color and removing scales, the two groups have no statistical differences.(3)Then reviewing the observations for6months, the recurrence rate of the experimental group was12%, while the control group was60%, moreover, recurrent time and gap time in experimental group have been greatly extended.Conclusions:Both of the two groups have effect in the treatment of lesion color, scales, papule, lichenification, itching and target lesion score, but the performance of the experimental group is superior to the control group. Meanwhile, the treatment of the former has a better stability. As for preventing eczema relapse, experimental group also display a prominent long-term effect.
