Epilepsy is a chronic disease of brain which breaks out occasionally andmake patients unconscious. Because of cerebrum neurons’ abnormal discharging,the brain appears on transient function obstacles. It manifests as abruptlyfalling,eyes’s looking upward,coma, spitting, convulsion, calling as pig andsheep call,awake as normal person. Investigation and statistics show that theincidence of epilepsy in china is4‰~9‰. But only in the southern ofSichuan,there are35people in100,000getting ill every year.Children’sincidence is5‰~7‰which is especially high. Above all, there are about9,000,000people of epilepsy in China. The harm of epilepsy is getting worseand worse to Chinese.Clinical studies prove that the syndrome differ treatment of chinesetraditional medicine has special advantages and can have significant effects.Professor Ma has engaged in the medical clinical work for more than40years.He has special experience in the treatment of epilepsy by hardly studying onthe experiences of different medical practitioners and combining with ownclinical research for years.He thinks that epilepsy occurs by wind-phlegm andis closely related to the heart and liver. So in the treatment of epilepsy, heuses calming the endopathic wind and resolving phlegm methods to make thefunctional activities of Qi nobstructed, yin and yang in balance, and thenepilepsy can stop. He divides epilepsy into four types such as wind-phlegm,excessive phlegm-fire, deficiency of both heart and spleen, heart and kidneyweakness. He treats epilepsy with self-made epilepsy mixture and epilepsy powder.With these recipes he combines with flexible modification by patiences’ actualsituation, and has solved the pains of many epilepsy people.
