Fujian Green Tea Pest Control Techniques Demand Solutions Research

Tea industry is the traditional industry, and also the mainstay for the economic development of Fujian province. Fujian spreaded from central to southern subtropical area of China, warm and wet climate make the province be the most suitable area for tea growing. In recent years, under the driving of government’s supporting policy, increasing of capital and technology investment, and enhancement of the cooperation between Fujian and Taiwan, Fujian tea industry has started it’s rapid development stage. However, tea quality and safety has become the key factor restricting the development of tea industry in the transition of Fujian’s tea industry from the scale to quality focusing. This paper attempts to probe into the suitable techniques of green controls for tea diseases and pests, based on the comprehensively anylized on the research progress of domestic and foreign tea diseases and pests, as well as our existential questions. To provide the Fujian tea industry with a new means for the promotion of tea quality and achievement of competitiveness development.Tea industry of Fujian is still facing some problems, such as variety structure is not reasonable, ecology environment is imbalance, tea quality safety is not guaranteed, standards enforcement needs to be strengthened and so on. Among them, the tea quality and safety has been the bottleneck which is restricting the development of tea industry in our province. The main tea garden pests in Fujian are Empoasca vitis (Gothe), Ectropis obliqua Prout and Acaphylla theae Watt. such as Empoasca vitis (Gothe) prevention and control difficulties, The problems, such as insect resistant, lack of pollution-free agricultural materials and technical service channels, lack of implements of the systematical pest control and integrated demonstration of green control technology, resulting in the difficulty of diseases and pest control of tea plantation.The research progress of tea diseases and pests prevention and green control technology at home and abroad were anylized in this paper. According to the technical demand, the following solutions were put forward:firstly, establish the early warning system and remote diagnosis system of tea diseases and pests. The early warning system can make the control advanced, the remote diagnosis system can reduce the chance of misuse and abuse of pesticide. Second, adhere to the green control dominated by agricultural methods, protection and utilization of natural resources, and actively carry out biological control, strengthen physical prevention and control measures, filter and popularize the efficient low toxicity and low water soluble pesticides, popularize scientific use of pesticides technology, and then comprehensive application of various control measures to form the effectively integrated technology of green control. Lastly, to realize the specialization, unification and scalization of tea pest control.
