Guilin Lijiang River Painting Creative Base Building Space Design

The study derived from the experience of participating the design of Guilin Creation Baseof Lijiang Painting School. The research and discussion it took include projectbackground, local culture and building type, explored the design methods and the designprinciples. The precise definition of Painting-creation Base was been stated by the on thebasis of architecture typology, and the design orientation was also been studied. Itanalyzed the architecture style, culture orientation, space design methodology andoperating model of painting-creation base, as well as the behavior and psychology ofpainting creation. The design experience of other painting creation bases in domesticwas been studied, and several other projects related to fine art were referenced. Theculture background and art style of Lijiang Painting School were studied, to present thedialogue and co-fusion between the project and Lijiang Painting School by integrating thestudies. Through summarizing the characteristics of traditional architectures and designmethod of the pseudo-classic architecture in Guilin, combined the public buildingexamples in Guilin, it analyzed the realization approaches of the case’s pseudo-classictechnique. After the three chapters of theoretical study, it reached the detailed designscheme of Guilin Creation Base of Lijiang Painting School, elaborated the designconcepts from the aspects of space layout, decorative element and facilities.Concluded the design experiences of the case in the end, the design scheme is thesystematic verification of theoretical studies above. I have accumulated a large amount ofinformation relevant through the full-course involvement, which can be used in theresearch and design evaluation, expecting to make a contribution to the studies of thisarchitecture typology.
