The air hammer is a high overload, wide pulse testing device, which is used to obtai acceleration signals of high overload and shock and wide pulse characteristics in non-firin cases through laboratory tests. It is used to simulate the inertia force of fuze whil launching, in order to assure the reliability of the fuze, which has a great significance to th development of the fuze. The air hammer is designed and fully studied, providin theoretical basis and decision-making for the trial production of fuze.The main contents are as follows:(1) Aiming at the fuze’s environment forc simulation, the high overload and wide pulse air hammer test device is overall designe and its feasibility is analyzed. On the basis of the overall design, structure and contre segment of the testing part of the mechanical device is designed in detail, the design c each structure is completed and the circuit diagram drawing agencies is finished. Using th application of virtual prototyping technology, a virtual prototype model of the device i created;(2) According to the working principle of each part of the device, its workin process is divided into two phases:before and after the impact of the test bomb and the tes gasket. According to the theory of multi-body dynamics, the dynamic simulation of the tes bomb lunching is done using Matlab. Using LS-DYNA, the impact dynamic simulatio between the test bomb and the test gasket is finished, and the test bomb’s movemer characteristic curves during the two phases are obtained, which show that the principle c the test apparatus design is feasible and reasonable, the design specifications ar achievable.(3) The high overload pulse width air hammer test device is manufactured an studied. Experiments are carried out according to the test requirements. The results ar compared with simulation results, proving the kinetics simulation model established ca efficiently simulate the experiment progress.(4) The trial protocol is designed, t investigate the effects of the characteristics differences of the test gasket did to the impa(?) acceleration characteristics of testing fuze.
