Economic development depends on the development of electric power. There are all kinds of risks in the construction process of power projects, which directly affects the power project profitability. Risk management is necessary and important for the power project. This paper explores the risk management, based on Shenzhen Shiyan substation10kV construction project.After the introduction of the research background, this paper reviews the achievements related to this research.Then the theories and conceptions related to the project risk management and risk management of power project and are outlined. The substation10kV distribution network project in Shenzhen Shiyan is introduced. Then, this paper identifies the risks of this project using the check list and expert investigation method, and assesses the risks, mainly using the improved LECS risk assessment method. Finally, the strategy and measures of preventing risks on the construction project of Shiyan of substation10kV distribution network are discussed.
