Hironobu Building Design Approach Flow Space Exploration

The changes of aesthetic values and lifestyles in the information age have prompted constantly updating in the meanings and forms of exhibition building space,making it get rid of its cold, closed and rigid outer coverings.the new trend of exhibition building designs have focused on the pleasant experience of the people and special emphasis on people’s emotional involvements.The flowing space,paying close attentions to the links between people and the relationship between people and the environment,has been deepened and developed by designers from different angles.This is reflected diversely and vividly in the exhibition buildings.The paper is based on the promoting of the quality of the exhibition building spaces to exploring the actual values of the flowing space from the point of Humanities.The study emphasis on relationships of architectural formations and compositions and through the combing,induction,analysis and summary of a large number of museums and galleries instances,putting forward the characteristics of flowing space and the corresponding strategies of designs.The paper is divided into five sections.The first chapter of the paper includes the origin, purpose and significance of the study.The second chapter describes the emergence and changes of the exhibition building,the essence and features of spatial fluidity,review the course of development of the flowing space in the exhibition building.The third chapter explores the various factors affecting the exhibition building spaces from a focus on human and environment, behavior and psychology of audience, and the evolution and development of exhibition activities provide a basis for the design of the flowing space.Chapter fourth resolves the fluidity of the spatial organization through synthesizing plenty of exhibition building instances,from the function, order, spatial relationship and flow line,the characteristic and the manifestations of fluidity are discussed. The fifth chapter attempts from the angle of interface.that is,the intuitive and constructed image of erections,combined with new thinking, new materials and new technology to analyze the formation mechanism of the flowing space in today’s information age. Combining the author’s own experiences at the Expo and studies on the documentations,this paper has systematically summarized the composition characteristics of building spaces and operating practices with guiding significance in the perspective of humanities,promoting more thinking for the designers and providing references for the creative practice of current exhibition building designs.
