With the improvement of domestic economic level and the continuous growth of people’s spiritual and cultural needs, the number, type and quality of cultural buildings, especially museum buildings, have developed rapidly.Museum buildings need to adapt to the more complex and changeable social, cultural and geographical environment. There are few natural science museums in Chengdu and its surrounding areas, and Chengdu University of science and technology has accumulated many years of geoscience exhibits and advantages in natural science discipline, and it is in urgent need of a museum building with complete functions. In this context,it is of great practical significance to study the exhibition space design of Chengdu natural museum. The exhibits to be displayed in Chengdu Museum of nature are mainly geological, including all kinds of ores, gemstones, rocks, biological fossils, etc. The base condition, location, service object and planning conditions are superior. After completion, the exhibition effect will be improved in functional area, exhibition interaction, environmental coordination, etc. The fixed exhibition hall of the museum adapts to the type of exhibits. It is divided into three exhibition areas,i.e.ore,bio fossil and cutting-edge technology. The exhibition features are distinguished according to the size and connotation of the exhibits. In addition to the basic functions of exhibition, preservation, science popularization and entertainment, the exhibition area also undertakes the teaching and scientific research tasks of related majors of Chengdu University of science and technology. The exhibition space inherits the exhibition habit of the Museum of Chengdu University of science and technology.Influenced by dinosaurs and geological culture,it needs to connect with various urban interfaces such as Chenghua Avenue and Dongfengqu, and more consideration should be given to the needs of visitors at the learning stage. After analyzing the applicability of the narrative strategy of the exhibition space, this paper discusses the logical relationship of space and the effect of space display.According to the dependence of exhibits on the environment, logical clues of exhibits and exhibition contents, the exhibition space is divided into three first level divisions and several second level divisions to provide conditions for targeted design of the space.Analyze the narrative structure and spatial layout form, sort out the exhibition order, and combine each exhibition area.Based on the characteristics of transition space, the transition space is used between exhibition areas, museums and urban interfaces, and the transition form suitable for the research area is proposed. This paper discusses the guiding effect of spatial geometry and light environment on line of sight. This paper makes a comparative study of painting aesthetics and architectural aesthetics to deal with the problems of skyline and main color of exhibition area.In the design of exhibition space, the fixed exhibition hall combines the exhibition space according to the order of the earth birth and geological change area, the animal birth and species evolution area, the prospect of the future and the popular science area;in the design of special space, the fixed mineral rock exhibition hall uses the curve space with long traffic flow line to create favorable conditions for the exhibition cabinet serialization;fear The Dragon world exhibition hall uses a large and transparent space to create a Mesozoic environment atmosphere for dinosaur fossil cluster exhibition;uses colonnade, atrium, square, spatial geometry, interface enclosure and other ways to deal with the space transition and guidance issues that affect the smoothness of the visit;uses architectural aesthetics theory to design the exhibition characteristics and atmosphere of the indoor and outdoor exhibition areas.
