This study aims to explore the career development model of the Eleventh to theSeventeenth session of the Central Committee. In recent years, the attention of the outsideworld to China’s political elites’background,highly educated,specialized background, isgradually increasing.However, the existing literature only focus on the evolution of thefeatures of the political elites, elites’ career development model has become a neglectedresearch topic.By analyzing the biographical information of the Central Committee, this thesis try toexplore the impact of demographic characteristics and professional experience of the politicalelites in the Central Committee of China features their job promotion, to summarize andanalyze the the career growth stage of the members of the Central Committee and itsinfluencing factors, verify that the cadres theory of Deng Xiaoping to guide our nearly threedecades of party and government leadership cadre selection and appointment of theimplementation of the Ordinance. This thesis selects the Eleventh to the Seventeenth sessionof the Central Committee of the study sample for the study, screening836leaders to analysis,and use Event history Analysis techniques, using Stata10.0software for data analysis andprocessing to finish a more systematic and comprehensive quantitative research,whichincludes the demographic characteristics of the political elites and professional growthexperience.Members of the Central Committee have vast majority of men (95.2%), and nosignificant change in the proportion of women; Han nationality accounts for the vast majority(94.6%), but by the longitudinal comparison of the data found that, since the Eleventh CentralCommittee, members of the Central Committee increase in the proportion of minorityleadership cadres. Central Committee members as a whole is gradually transition to theyounger average age of62.69years to59.17years, and the age of the majority of cadres intothe Central Committee concentrated between55to65years."Members have a universitydegree or above",the proportion of the number of0from the Eleventh to the Seventh sessionof the proportion has reached86.89%, which reflects the the leading cadres knowledgeableand professional; Engineering and Technology scientific and professional background isalways a higher proportion of groups and that the study of humanities and social sciencesexpertise and government leading cadres rose to43%from0.5%in the early days,it reflectsthe current needs of knowledge in the CPC and government is economic management,legaland personnel, reflects the result of a rising demand for officials of the national background of Humanities and Social Sciences.Through5promotion influencing factors model comparison, there was significantdifferences in age, professional background, country of origin and ethnic career advancementprobability of the political elite. The age of this event was promoted to the national deputy hasnegative impact that each increase of one-year-old, the possibility of promotion will bereduced accordingly; professional background is reflected in the role of leading cadres careeradvancement probability: the professional engineering and technological sciences have asignificant impact on the development of promotion event. The Hometown and nationalcareer advancement probability of leading cadres are also significant, place of origin play apositive role for the promotion of East China Central Committee members. There was nosignificant difference in gender, party standing, education and other characteristics of theparty and government cadres career advancement probability. Special unit members promotedto the national deputy and not very significant; work experience in the economicallydeveloped regions but then promoted to help.
