This paper introduces the performance characteristics of metal rubber,which acted on the defense industry, weapons and equipment,the star ships. It is analyzed the spatial structure of metal rubber and studied the blank piece of molding process and the preparation process. At present domestic metal rubber winding is commonly manual winding. The intensity of labor is big and the accuracy is not high. This paper efforts to develop a automatic winding equipment to fill the gaps in this aspect.It is mentioned to the analyses of the metal rubber about the winding principle and winding process in this paper firstly. According to the principle of winding designed winding equipment, including mechanical structure design and control system design. The main movement and reciprocating motion belonged to the mechanical structure. Both of the two movements cooperated with each other, implemented the motion in according to the established route. Based on the discipline of the mechanical structure, the control circuit is created, it is made of the single chip microcomputer, clocking circuit and reset circuit, digital tube display circuit, key circuit and stepper motor drives. The C++language is used to develop the program to realize the function each of them。Finally the experimental platform is set up to do the winding experiment, the experimental results are analyzed, the insufficiency and the causes of deficiency also is discussed.
