College students are at a crucial stage of life development, and also at the critical period seeking to establish an intimate relationship, and the quality of the intimacy has an important impact on college students’life and learning. Individuals with different attachment styles and different level of self-differentiation will have different level of the individual’s intimate relationship satisfaction.Purpose:To help students enhance the intimate relationship satisfaction, the study mainly to study the relationship between self-differentiation, adult attachment and close relationship satisfaction and emphasis on the role of self-differentiation in the course of adult attachment influencing close relationship satisfaction, while understanding the characteristics of university students’ adult attachment, self-differentiation.Method:The Chinese revision of Experience of Close Relationship scale, The Differentiation of Self scale(has revised for university students) and the Quality of Relationship Index scale as research tools, collect469pieces of questionnaire filled by university students in Hunan, and through statistical analysis of the data,we obtained the followingConclusion:This study selected college students as subjects, examined the relationship of adult attachment, self-differentiation and the satisfaction of intimate relationship, and discussed the mediating role of self-differentiation in adult attachment and intimate relationship satisfaction. were used in this study, and about1000university students filled in the questionnaires.Through statistical analysis, the following conclusions were obtained:First, for self-differentiation, significant gender differences were found in I-position and fusion with others.Second, demographic differences were found in attachment avoidance dimension of adult attachment, including gender grade〠borned-placeã€continuing time of close relationship virables.Third, adult attachment, self-differentiation was significantly associated with intimate relationship satisfaction. For adult attachment, attachment avoidance was negatively correlated with intimate relationship satisfaction.For self-differentiation, I position and emotional cut-off was positively correlated with intimate relationship satisfaction Dimensions of adult attachment was negatively correlated with each dimension of self-differentiation.Fourth. self-differentiation plays a mediating role between attachment avoidance and intimate relationship satisfaction;Emotional cut-off plays a mediating role between attachment avoidance and close relationship satisfactory. |
