In recent years, regulational emotion self-efficacy was found to be a domain self-efficacy which is closely related to mental health. It can impact mental health directly or indirectly through other sorts of specific self-efficacy. And academic emotions as a vital part of daily affect have a significant meaning to mental health. The impact of the system of self-efficacy and specific academic emotions on mental health is the main purpose of the present research. Based on the dual-factor model of mental health (DFM), each of our research conducted a cross-sectional study and a short-term tracking study to explore the issue from theoretical and practical view.Study one:The subjects of the cross-sectional study was1293middle school students, and among them531students were tracked. Structural equation modeling and cross-lag model were used to explore the relationship of self-efficacy (regulational emotions self-efficacy and academic self-efficacy), academic emotions and mental health and their interaction. Results as follows:(1) The mediating effects of academic self-efficacy and emotions between regulational emotions self-efficacy and mental health were found.(2) In their models, enjoyment and helplessness can increase the risk of internalizing problem, but they have different paths.(3) Management self-efficacy of negative emotions, academic self-efficacy and helplessness are the antecedents of internalizing problem and life satisfaction, and between management self-efficacy of negative emotions and internalizing problem can interact with each other, helplessness and internalizing problem have the same interact effect.Study two:The subjects of the cross-sectional study were1293middle school students, and among them531students were tracked. The present study aimed to investigate the feasiblity and stability of the single indicator DFM (life satisfaction and internalizing problem). Results as follows:(1) The single indicator DFM is feasible, the performance on self-efficacy and academic emotions of the complete mental health group is the best, and the disease group is the worst.(2) The stability of the complete mental health group is the best, and the symptom but content group is the worst,(3) Management self-efficacy of negative emotions, academic emotions are factors affecting the stability of mental health.
