Music,as a kind of popular element, is very popular in the studentgroup. Especially in today’s society, intelligent mobile phone and MP3areavailable. Listening music in the learning process or treat music as readingbackground environment as become a research hot subject in current educationalpsychology.The study used3×2×2three factors mixed design of experiments, includingthree conditions (classical music, Chinese pop songs, no music), two kinds ofbackground music preference subjects (learning in the background music preference,no learning in the background music preference), as well as the subjects familiaritywith the song (familiar with the group, not familiar with the group). The experimentseleccted120junior high school with the experimental conditions of groupingexperiment and draw the following conclusions:(1) Under the condition of classical music, reading comprehension scores best.(2) The background music reference or familiar with the backgroundmusic is better able to complete the task of reading in the background conditions.(3) Different types of background music is familiar to the background musicpreference,background music will have different influence. Classical music and popmusic conditions, a preference or familiar subjects, reading comprehensionscores were significantly higher than that of non preference, strange group of readingcomprehension achievement.(4) The background music preference influences familiarity. In the preferenceconditions, familiar with the background music of the subjects reading comprehensionscores are significantly higher than the strange subjects score, while non preferenceconditions, familiar and unfamiliar reading comprehension scores did not differbetween groups.
