An Introduction To The Drama And Rhythm

Rhythm is a form of expression which can arouse an audience’s emotion and experiences adequate to the performances, but also is an indispensable artistic processing means. Depending on a general sense of rhythm, this study expounds its important role in theater acting, directing, the overall effect of stage performances. In this paper we discuss it from theoretical and practical levels in four following aspects:first, rhythm is an important basis for theatrical performances; Second, the rhythm of character creation in performances; Third, the director’s grasp in the rhythm of the drama; four, the overall rhythm on theatrical performances.
