A Preliminary Exploration On The Development And Operation Of Private Troupes In Ccntemporary China

As the government vigorously supports putting more private capital into cultural field in recent years, private showbiz industry has become a hot topic in academia, attracting more and more attention. Private troupes, as the main body of private showbiz market, play an extremely important role. Private troupes have made glorious achievement, which is inseparable with the social circumstances it relies on for survival, in the whole showbiz market, and they gradually change the dominance pattern of original state-owned art troupes with its unique advantages of market orientation and closeness to the masses. Besides, a troupe’s survival and development is also effected by political, economic, cultural and social factors all the time. Moreover, the management and operation of a private troupe can also determine its development level. Either for the creation and performance, or for funds operation, or even for propaganda&marketing, they all work as core contents that undertake the rise and fall of troupes. From these perspectives, this paper conducts an in-depth description and analysis on the present development status of contemporary private troupes, and presents the author’s consideration on future development of current private troupes.
