With a wealth of expression, appeal and wide range of performance, chorus is the highest form of vocal music art. It has a very high aesthetic value and aesthetic connotation with higher levels of art form. The vocal music art in our country are originated from the spread of Western vocal music art. In recent years, with the the development of our country and more international communication, Chorus as a form of vocal music get more common recognition and development. Today, Chorus education has become an important part of a national music education, and is also an important art form to edify people elegant sentiment of life. It has produced a variety forms of performing style chorus, since the origin of the early chorus from the west. In view of the singing manners, there are single-part song, two-part song, three-part song, etc.;From the male, the female to male and female mixed sound. These forms is in constant development, a variety of new music elements are being joined the chorus, which make the chorus voice more harmonious. Influenced by social environment and the trend in today’s society, people have got a new understanding in terms of aesthetic consciousness. They consider various factors to evaluate whether it good or not. So, chorus, as a kind of music activities, people are not just from hearing alone to evaluate whether a chorus well or not, they will also consider the feelings of the visual, and because of that, more and more forms of performance have been joined the chorus, such as dancing, recitation, band and other new element, which makes new development on the choral art.However, whether this development is good trend is worth our research thinking. This paper compares the development of Western choral art between Chinese choral art, as well as my own personal experience and learning to come to think about the development for the chorus.
