A Brief Description Of Chorus Choral Works And Chorus Rehearsal Experience

During the study period of the adaptation and creation of Chorus,various genres of Chinese and foreign chorus was analyzed,which bases on the learning and mastering the craft of musical composition.In addition,the creation of several chorus works which covered various types was completed,e.g.original work,adaptation of folk songs,etc.In the first part of this paper,we introduced the creation idea of those chorus works,including the selection of creative theme,the conception of the Subject,the overall framework of the musical structure,the application of chorus fabric,and the revision process.Furthermore,the practice related to different choirs and different styles during the period of studying chorus master laid a solid foundation for my deep understanding on the adjustment of sound,the control of pitch and rhythm,and the application of music works.Therefore,some personal experience and comments was summarized in the second part of this paper.Generally,the chorus rehearsal gradually deepened my awareness and understanding of choral works,and it was a thinking process of “from theory to practice” and “from rational to emotional”,which will lay a solid foundation for my creation and rehearsal of the chorus in the future.
