Research On Little Town Narration In Shi Tuo’s Novels

This thesis focus on ShiTuo who is famous for his "Little Town" in Chinese Modern literature History,analyzing the world of Little Town which are constructed by his novels.As the representative of ShiTuo’s novels,The Orchard Town is the main study object in this paper.Analyzing the town’s existence form and people’s living condition,studying the narrative art of the Little Town which is neither different from Urban Literature’s expressive space nor from Native-soil Literature’s expressive space,this paper tries to strip the narrative of Little Town from traditional Native-soil Narrative and Urban Narrative.There is no doubt that Little Town Narration has unique value in the literature history.From the perspective of the whole Modern Literature History and ShiTuo,the first part combs the history and present situation of the research about Little Town Literature,simply introduce the method of this research.The text part is divided into three parts.The first chapter explains some important concepts,including Little Town,Little Town Narration,briefly illustrate the origin and aesthetic features of Little Town Narration.The second chapter deals with the features of Native-soil Narration and Urban Narration in ShiTuo’s text.In the country(traditional) and urban(modern) views,ShiTuo construct the literature space named The Orchard Town. Considering The Orchard Town as the focal point,this chapter tries to explain its significance both in "constant" and"dynamic". The third chapter analyzes ShiTuo’s narrative art,which is poetic and mixed.
