Traditional folk culture covers a widerange which involves people’s material life and spiritual life as well as every aspect of sociallife. As the beneficial traditional culture heirtage,folk culture not only bear the performance ofour national consciousness and aesthetic concepts peculiar, but bear with from theunderstanding of nature to the understand of life, not to mention the wisely methods to handlethe relationship between man and nature, man and society enlightenment. As a socialized groupculture, the educational role of folk culture is imperceptible to the human folk culture througheveryday exchanges with attitude, language and behavior people relfected and have a greati’mpact on peoples values and social behavior.Folk culture education is an integral part of the quality education and the traditionalcultural education, the inheirtance and development of folk culture has a high interlinked nature"with the hidden curriculum" through the process of curriculum development. Folk cultureeducation opens the window of new ways of school education, casting people’s hearts so thatyoung people can get to know the nation’s thoughts and feelings as well as lifestyles ofancestors throughout school education. At the same time, school education is also anindispensable way which continuing an indispensable tool is a chain of cultural development.This paper is based on the introduction of the features of folk culture to investigate theeducation value of folk culture. The introduction mainly focuses on the knowledge of folkculture, including the basic characteristics of the concept, scope and classification. Theintroduction part describes the background to the educational value of the study of folk culture,meaning,domestic and international research review and research purposes and methods inorder to lay a solid theoretical foundation for future research. This research is based on the1982UNESCO and the World Intellectual Property division in the form of folk culture and divide thefolk culture into Verbal expression of folk culture, Musical forms of folk culture, Activity in theform of folk culture and Material form of folk culture, and were to explore the educationalvalue of different forms of folk culture. Although this study focuses on the educational value of folk culture, but the ultimate point is to realize folk culture research educational value. Therefore, the latter part of this paper aims to explore ways to achieve their educational value, including the concept level, external conditions and school practical ways in three areas. And based on a study of folk culture education into school-based curriculum case with the practice of folk culture-based curriculum of an Experimental Kindergarten undertaken, we are try to share successful experiences of folk culture-based curriculum development and implementation in order to promote better development.Social significance of folk culture and education contributions to the development of a nation is reflected in the development of civilization and modernization of the country, to re-examine the educational value of folk culture is also characteristic of school education practical needs. The social significance of the traditional folk culture education reflected in the contribution of the nation’s development of civilization and modernization, a review of the value of the folk culture education is also necessary for the development of the development of school characteristics.
