This study selects music performance students in secondary schools in Quanzhou City,Fujian Province as the research object.Using the methods of literature research,interview method,survey research method and case study method,the study conducts survey interviews with music teachers,music students and non-genetic inheritors in secondary schools,and discusses the process of school-based curriculum design and development as well as the findings of the study from the feasibility of school-based curriculum development.The introductory section describes the background of the study,the content and significance of the study,the research methodology,the current status of the study,the innovation points of the study,and an overview of the research related to the study.In the first part,the current situation of traditional culture in secondary school campuses in Quanzhou is analysed through questionnaires and interviews so as to explore the feasibility of school-based curriculum development.In the second part,the ideas of the development of the school-based curriculum of Quanzhou Tideline Puppet Theatre are introduced.The design ideas for the development of the school-based curriculum of Quanzhou Thread Puppet Theatre are recorded in terms of educational theoretical foundations,design concepts,implementation targets,goal setting and curriculum principles.The third part,based on the characteristics of the secondary music performance profession and the students’ age stage,designs and implements unit activities for the Quanzhou Tideline Puppet Theatre school-based curriculum and presents the effectiveness of implementing the curriculum.In the fourth part,reflections are made on the design and effectiveness of the school-based curriculum,in-depth reflections are made on the problems encountered during the development of the school-based curriculum,and a series of suggestions are made to improve the school-based curriculum.
