| Compared with traditional artworks mainly in the form of static objects, works ofcontemporary art, characterized by diversity and complexity, bring new problems tomuseum display and exhibition. The solution of these problems influences not only theform and effect of display and exhibition, but also the presentation, dissemination,interpretation, and preservation of these artworks, even the form and construction of thewhole history of contemporary art. This thesis, combining case analysis with literaturereview, aims to probe into the various challenges contemporary art bring to museumexhibition and possible solutions and measures by singling out three commonly seen andrepresentative forms of contemporary art, namely, concept art, site-specific art, and newmedia art. With this as the starting point, this thesis hopes to provide some advice for themuseum exhibition and display of contemporary art. |
