The current society is a new media era dominated by digital images.New media technology has quietly penetrated into our visual culture.In this context,people’s aesthetic and thinking modes have also undergone tremendous changes.The use of new media art techniques has gradually become one of the distinctive features of contemporary art creation,and new media art has also been embodied in contemporary printmaking art.The main purpose of choosing the topic "multi-transformation of contemporary printmaking under the development of new media art" for research is to grasp the development trend of future printmaking art and the correct way to integrate printmaking with new media art techniques by exploring the evolution of contemporary printmaking and its multi-transformation under the development of new media art.This research aims to spread and carry forward the printmaking art more extensively while amplifying its expressive power.Although the audience range of domestic new media art is gradually expanding,the related studies are still imperfect.Many of them are relatively broad and rough generalizations,rarely exploring in detail the transformation and innovative development of contemporary printmaking under the development of new media art.This paper focuses on the multi-transformation of contemporary printmaking under the development of new media art.It primarily analyzes and demonstrates the transformation of contemporary printmaking in artistic concept,work form and creative media under the development of new media by employing the research methods,such as work analysis and comparative demonstration.While affirming the positive transformation and impact brought by the development of new media art to printmaking,this paper also discusses the areas to be improved in its integration with contemporary printmaking.Moreover,it highlights the significance of "interaction" and "individual experience" in the integration of contemporary printmaking and new media art,which is also the research feature of this paper.The whole paper is elaborated through four major aspects.First,it presents a basic understanding and illustration of the current contemporary printmaking.Second,it clarifies the origin and development of new media art.Third,it discusses the multi-transformation of contemporary printmaking in terms of artistic concept,work form and creative media under the development of new media.Finally,it puts forward the aspects that can be innovated in the future development of printmaking art and its future prospect.Furthermore,this paper draws the conclusion that artists’ future creative printmaking works should fully manifest the language features of printmaking,the current social life as well as humanistic feelings.In this regard,artists should selectively absorb the cutting-edge culture and ideas,and make the audience truly engage in it through the appropriate integration with new media.Only in this way can we better stimulate the innovative development and wide spread of printmaking art in the future.
