Since the new century, the rise of new media and its culture represented by the Internet is having a profound influence on the society and culture as a whole. From the perspective of cultural development, this influence can also spread to the field of contemporary literature. In the information age, the new media culture in collisions with literature is also reshaping a new literature concept with time, leading to the corresponding literary paradigm, the change of creative practice, and to the communication and integration of new media culture and literature. From current situation of the development of contemporary literature, the booming of the new media and its culture is also constantly hitting the traditional literary ecosystem, challenging some of the traditional aesthetic concept, the literary writing styles and transmission mechanism, as well as the literary language rules formed in a long term, making the traditional literature begin to reflect on and make corresponding adjustment in the collision. Overall, the new media culture and contemporary literature has showed signs of the communication and integration. As a new field of contemporary literature, the new media culture space has provided a new living space for contemporary writers and works, injected fresh vitality for the development of contemporary literature.Based on the internal relation of media and literature, after the analysis of the profound influence the new media culture has brought to literature, this paper emphatically pointed out that, the core concept of new media culture has inherent consistency with the value of literature, unearthed the spiritual resonance in reason. This paper argues that the collision, communication and integration, not only bring up a new literary style for the contemporary literature, but also promote the further communication and integration between them. This paper points out that the internal connection of the new media culture and contemporary literature, is able to find sufficient historical basis in the history of literature. Represented by newspapers and periodicals, the modern media whole culture features are consistent with the basic characteristics of modern literature, have played an important role in the development of Chinese modern literature. Because of that, it has greatly propelled the modern transformation of Chinese literature. The value of freedom, equality and open concept which the new media culture stand for, has an internal consistency with the spiritual feature of literature itself and the development path of the Chinese modern and contemporary literature, and laid a solid foundation for the communication and integration of the new media culture and literature. The rapid development of network literature and traditional literature’s digitization survive, has witnessed the open process of communication and integration of new media culture and contemporary literature communication. Although that will be a long process, but its development prospect is considerable, and it will deeply influence the subsequent development of contemporary literature.If it is true that the contemporary literature is facing the predicament of peripherization, then the new media and its culture will provided a new space for the growth of the contemporary literature, getting out of the present plight. Contemporary literature needs to get rid of the bondage of traditional media actively, adapting to the multimedia symbiosis environment, thus creating a new way to closely combine literature with the age.
