| While the theme of "peace and development" in today’s world is enjoyingpopular support, China are paying more and more attentions on it with each passingday. After the disintegration of the Soviet Union, Central Asia, which is adjacent tothe western part of China, has become an independent geopolitical unit, and therelationships between China and Central Asia states have become more and moreimportant for Chinese government. Thus, the translation of literatures aboutgeopolitics of Central Asia is becoming more and more significant. This essayemphasizes on the introduction of the whole process of my translation practicesabout geopolitics. The first part is the origin of my translation, which includes thestatus quo of the geopolitics of Central Asia, the significance and difficulties of thisresearch. In the second part, the selection process and main content of the monographare elaborated. While in the third part, also the main part of this essay, I haveexplained the true meaning of some special words in this book and how to translatethem under different circumstances in detail. In the conclusion part, I take a briefsummary of my harvest and shortages after my translation practice, which settlessome experiential basis for my subsequent translation practices. |
