Central Asia is a new geopolitical space, formed in 1993.It has,as any space, its borders, which can expand or contract.Great importance in these processes have force fields. One of the main tasks facing geopolitics is the definition and prediction of the spatial boundaries of force fields. The force field is determined by the format of the spaces that a particular state or group of states wants to control. In this study, the process of forming and transforming the force fields of the US,China and Russia,as the world's largest and regional players, with respect to Central Asia as a geopolitical space,is under consideration. The structure of the dissertation is determined by the purpose and tasks of the work. The thesis consists of an introduction, five chapters,a conclusion and a bibliography. The Introduction reveals the relevance of the problem being studied, the object, the subject, the tasks and the objectives of the study are determined;the novelty, the theoretical and practical significance of the work, the state of its research in the world and domestic literature, and the provisions put forth for defense are substantiated. The first chapter examines the theoretical basis for the study of the geopolitical situation in Central Asia at the beginning of the 21 st century. The second chapter of the work presents a general geopolitical description of Central Asia. The geographic location of the region has positive and negative sides.Positive is the location at the crossroads of trade routes between the North and South,East and West.Negative is the dependence in the north of Russia, east of China,in the south and south-west of troubled Islamic countries-Afghanistan,Iran and Pakistan. With the acquisition of independence by the Central Asian countries,a previously less visible geostrategic problem is emerging-the geographic isolation of Central Asia. The region lies away from world political and economic flows. However, the main geopolitical feature of the region and the reason for the interest of world states in it are the richest raw materials. The third chapter examines the interests of the United States of America in Central Asia. They showed interest in Central Asia, based on the policy of globalism. The United States sought to prevent the restoration of Russia's strategic control in this territory. The most important economic and geostrategic dominant for the United States was the Caspian Sea as part of US energy interests.Reserves of hydrocarbons in the Caspian Sea can reduce the dependence of the United States on Middle Eastern energy resources. The fourth chapter examines China's interests in Central Asia. The development strategy of the PRC and its geopolitical priorities are considered. The main priorities of China's global strategy are:1.to provide favorable international conditions for the implementation of Chinesereforms;2.maintaining peaceful relations with world leaders;3.stability of relations with the nearest neighbors. The fifth chapter examines Russia's interests in Central Asia.Central Asia is of great importance for the Russian Federation in terms of security. And it's about protecting national borders, and maintaining a stable buffer between it and radical Afghanistan and Pakistan.Another serious threat is drug trafficking through Central Asian territories from Afghanistan to Russia. The conclusion of the work summarizes the results of the study, fixes conclusions and outlines directions and prospects for further research on the problem.
