This is the translation project report of Sun Kissed, the long novel written byCatherine Anderson, the contemporary romantic novelist of America. There areeighteen chapters in the novel, and the first three are selected here to translate intoChinese. Romantic fiction should be translated according to the principle offunctional equivalence in translation to realize the equivalence of language andculture between source text and target text. From this translation project report, wecan learn a lot from Catherine Anderson and make a self-improvement.The main contents of the translation project report are divided into four parts.Part One is an introduction of the translation project, including features of literarytranslation, background of the project, translation motivation and goal. Part Two isan introduction to the writer and the text. Part Three is the translation analysis,including the translation theory, the difficulties and problems during translationand their solutions, such as the problems of words, sentences and style, and howto make use of sequence transformation method, negation, division andamplification to solve the problems of sentences. Part Four is an conclusion. PartThree is the core of this report.
