Pa Kin is known as one of the most important Chinese writers after the May4thMovement. In1927, Pa Kin arrives in France to find the light and the truth. He beginshis creative carrier in France. In20and30years of the twentieth century, he writes aseries of short stories which are located in France. Some of these short stories are alsopublished in French. In a fiery passion, young Pa Kin describes the world in his eyesand expresses his desire for love, freedom and happiness. But sadness is universal andbeyond the frontiers of time and space. By the short stories which describe the foreignpeople and their history, Pa Kin refers to the China of his time.Pa Kin is one of the writers who describe the most the life of foreign countries inmodern China. What is his story about France? How does he create the images of theFrench? In addition, he states that he is the most deeply influenced by the occidentalliterature. How this is reflected in his works? How does he contribute to the Chineseliterature? Countless monographs and books have focused on novels of Pa Kin who isknown as one of the most influential writers since the May4Movement, but we findless research on his short story, especially the short stories which describe theforeigners and the history. We hope that this work can expand the study of Pa Kin, andfrom which to explore his complex creative journey.This paper aims to do a comparative study and narrative study of short stories ofPa Kin. We want to analyze the images of French Pa Kin created in his short storiesand the narrative techniques he has borrowed from the French literature, especiallyfrom Guy de Maupassant. The text is divided into three parts: the first part concernsthe French people who pursuit the liberty and the love; the second part goes to thehistoric figures in the French revolution; the third part carries on a research on hiswriting techniques and the way he learned from the French writers.
