Xuzhou was called Pengcheng in ancient times, it is located in the transition zone between the southern and northern regions, is the key to the north and the portal to the south. Xuzhou has always been a strategic place of military significance and gathered merchants here, it has a long history. GUI Zhong-xing was an officer in the late Qing Dynasty, he served as the magistrate of Xuzhou for twelve years. During this period, he valued education, promoted folk culture, and was particularly impressed by the Xuzhou regional culture. He collected the poems of Xuzhou local poets, and compiled the Xuzhou poetry collection. He praised YAN Er-mei and WAN Shou-qi highly, to praise their integrity and spirit, he gathered their poems together, which was called Compilations of the two adherents in Xuzhou.These two works reflect the Xuzhou regional culture, historical events, local conditions and customs and so on, and have important cultural and literature value to the study of later generations. This thesis will be focused on the study of Xuzhou poetry collection, and have a preliminary discussion on Compilations of the two adherents in Xuzhou, then to explore their connotation and judge their research value and status.
