The paper expounds the meaning of security, characteristics, historical style andits practice generation systematically from the perspective of Marxist philosophy.Security is opposed to the concept of danger. Sense of security is the fortunebased on a specific period of self-survival and ecological environment cognitiverelationship between itself and the environment non-confident grasp of a subjectivemental state. Its formal performance is a subjective judgment, as some kind ofharmony, non-equilibrium state, in the actual performance of some kind of unnaturalbehavior in reality. A psychological sense of security is the natural human activities, man and nature, the confidence generated in the process of social interaction, securityand freedom. It reflects the degree of certainty of their own living environment andattitude towards life.Sense of security consists of three characteristics: characteristic of the main part, characteristic of the object and characteristic of the type."Personal reality" is themechanism and subject of sense of security. Sense of security is the individual’s senseand spirit which is generated by the current external environment and presented in the"real individual’s" process of practice. The object of the concept of security is theobjective reality of the world. As a subjective state of mind, sense of security comesfrom the objective reality and human practice. As for forms of representation, sense ofsecurity consists of the dominant sense of security and hidden sense of security; as faras the origin is concerned, sense of security incudes the endogenous sense of securityand exogenous sense of security; in relation to scope, sense of security is divided intoecological security, economic security, political security and cultural security. The style of sense of security is the essential reflection of man and nature andsociety relation. Sense of security is divided into three historical styles: agriculturalsociety, industrial society and information society. In agricultural society, gradualgermination of body awareness and deep rooted slave consciousness mixed with eachother and become a unique "dependent" sense of security. In industrial society, peoplewho were led by the rational spirit strongly entered the nature, comprehensively andprofoundly intervened in the natural process, thus forming a "dominating" sense ofsecurity. In information society, knowledge production and management as the core, computers and the Internet as a medium, a large number of systematic information, technology and knowledge generated by the information revolution, formed a unique"type" sense of security.Sense of security has marked the relationship between people and the outsideworld, reflecting the historical subject (person) to deal with their own livingenvironment and adaptation, and also the human self-protection, the nature of thepower to present an effective mechanism for enhancement. The practice is theessential characteristic of sense of security. The basis of practical activities andprimary determines the inevitability of sense of security. Sense of security is theformation of emotional material activities, production change, social transformationand ideology under the combined effects. People are the paradox of the existence andnature, and social contact with others, continue to achieve the self-same time, theformation of the external sense of security in the world.
