Studies On Chen Tianhe’s Oratorio Helianghuabie And His Artistic Songs

Chen Tianhe is an outstanding composer and music educator on the20th century in China. As "one of the four disciples" from Mr. Huang Zi,he created many music works though his life is poor and live only44years. His music works are in wide-ranging and high quality whichincludes art songs, children’s songs, part-song, oratorio, orchestral works,piano, etc. This thesis take Chen Tianhe’s oratorio and art songs as theresearch object, through in-depth analysis of Chen Tianhe in vocal musicworks creation technique, to clarify his creation style with deep gracefuland restrained, in order to let more people know him and this musicachievement, which will give the fair and objective evaluation.This essay is divided into five parts: preface, Chen Tianhe’s life andcreation, oratorio, art song creation, and summed up.The first part is preface; in this part，it mainly summarized the studyorigin, significance and status.Body of the essay will be divided into three chapters.The first chapter is the overview of Chen Tianhe’s life and musiccreation. In this chapter, we reviewed the Chen Tianhe difficult and hardlife, outlines his single-minded pursuit of music art under the condition ofhard life and show his achievements in music creation.The second chapter focuses on the detailed analysis and research onChen Tianhe’s oratorio. Firstly, outlined the oratorio origins andcharacteristics of this genre, the spread and development of Chen Tianhe’s oratorio in China, and its creation situation. Secondly, from thedetail study of the three singing forms, respectively of the oratorioexplored the concrete music creation technique, which reveal ChenTianhe have the bold exploration and pursuit of art in the large vocalmusic genre writing.The third chapter carried on the detailed analysis of the music ofChen Tianhe art songs creation technique. This part firstly describes thedevelopment of art songs in China, and summary the overall artisticcharacteristics of Chen Tianhe art song creation, with combining detailanalysis of specific works, from the aspects such as melody, harmony,tonality and music motive analysis which show the charm of art song.Finally,this is the summary of this article. It mainly summarizedthe Chen Tianhe’s music creation technique and its social significance.Chen Tianhe who is in his short life had created a large number ofexcellent works, genre widely. Influenced by his teacher Huang Zi, hiswork combined the western composing music technique and Chinesetraditional music culture, forming the music style of lyric, graceful andrestrained. At the same time, his music creation reflected our countryearly professional music education achievement. In musicologyundertakings have developed rapidly in our country today, and the artisticvalue and charm of his music works have also been more and moreconcern and attention.
