《Discussion On He Lvting’s Music Education Practice》

He Lvting (1903-1999) is the outstanding composer and music theorist as well as a music educator in China’s modern music history. Throughout his life in the music career, all are closely related to music education. He Lvting researches and explores many fields regarding music education. After the founding of the nation, He Lvting served as the president of Shanghai Conservatory of Music. He not only cultivates a batch of professionals on music performance, creation and theory, but also makes great contribution to China’s music education to become an outstanding music educator from good composer.This thesis, from the perspective of He Lvting’s music education practice, deeply analyzed his music education concepts and practice from two aspects including national and professional music education, made an objective analysis and summary of his significance in China’s music education based on his scattered various talks, reports, relevant papers and his opinions on music education presented at all the stages and Shanghai Conservatory Of Music where his view of education and school running integrate in order to provide reference for and enlighten the development of today’s music education.
