The Research Of Mainland China Medical Drama

"Medical Drama" is an important type of play of the TV series system in the United States, Japan and other countries. However, referring to Mainland China "Medical Drama", audiences’impression is mostly limited to "Miao Shou Ren Xin"(1998) and "Xia Gu Ren Xin"(2000), etc., which were broadcast in Hong Kong area, and they know little about the mainland medical drama. In fact as early as1987, the first mainland China medical drama "Hippocratic Oath" was played in TV, strictly speaking,in the25years’development,15mainland China medical dramas were: broadcasted in total. It is not small quantity, but these medical dramas shared few distinguishing features and styles except the same medical topic and could hardly be summarized to a complete sense of type. Many people believe that mainland China medical drama just imitate American medical drama, but the research revealed that mainland China medical drama’s pattern is quite different from American medical drama’s. As the development and evolution of times, the realistic style of mainland medical drama has become increasingly evident, and its strong practical criticalness and unique aesthetic characteristics are worthy of researching deeply and discussion. Therefore, the clearness of concept and hackling of development course are particularly important since the special development condition of mainland China medical drama.In the point of view, this thesis focuses on present situation of contemporary mainland China medical drama development, and explores it’s overall characteristics and social value from aspects of concept of the definition, development course combing, narrative structure analysis, the spiritual connotation interpretation and so on around the mainland medical drama ontology characteristic.The first chapter firstly made a reasonable definition of the concept of medical drama, and then defined the study object of mainland medical drama, as well as hackled its development course and divided into different periods. The second chapters summarized and concluded the mainland medical drama characters’set and play structure by analogizing narrative characteristics laterally, and grasp medical drama play mode and practical significance from the view of TV series type. The third chapter deciphered the visual elements and deep spiritual connotation from the two aspects of visual codes and spiritual kernel.This paper integrated the Film studies, Philosophy, Aesthetics, Psychology, Sociology, Communication, medical science, Anthropology and so on. The aim is to make a multi-dimension decipher of concept definition, development history, characteristics, and spirit kernel by reading TV drama text carefully, combing different periods cultural background of our country.
