Combined with the status quo that medical drama has become a hotspot, this thesis analyzes Chinese mainland medical drama in terms of screenwriting.First of all, In this paper, the type of medical drama were combing the definition of the concept and its impact and the development process of the continent’s medical drama.Secondly,Mainland,medical drama is analyzed in terms of screenwriting. The characterization of the mainland medical drama is fully dissected in terms of the profession and social status of doctors, nurses and corrupted doctors. In addition to this, the plot structure is decomposed from different aspects such as differences in narrative form, conflict setting and narrative clue of medical drama etc.Finally,Through the analysis of the borrowing and imitation of mainland medical drama from United States, and Japan and other countries’ outstanding medical drama and the differences when added with mainland characteristics, this thesis suggests that mainland medical drama should pay attention to professionalism and authenticity of story writing.From what has been discussed above, in a society that craves breakthroughs and development, playwrights are required to break the mind-set and behavioral inertia and continue to introduce new medical drama. Meanwhile the constantly changing and ever-abundant medical topic allows new content and ways of expressions for mainland medical drama, thus discovering even more potential for it. |
