Based on Bloom’s taxonomy of cognitive objectives, from the perspective of assignment in the primary listening course of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, we analyze and compare the two teaching materials of listening,"Fa Zhan Han Yu Chu Ji Ting Li" and "Han Yu Ting Li Jiao Cheng". We have both analyzed the content and cognitive process, by the statistical methodology.These tow books both have advantages regarding to the assignment part. Moreover, the distribution of practice questions afford us lessons that merit attention. For example, during the primary stage of learning Chinese, it should be put more emphasis on pronunciation training, thus lots of assignment are reminiscent. And there is balanced proportion between input practice and output practice, and in the cognitive stage, the number of assignment is appropriate. However, the training questions design and arrangement need more improvement. In the part of pronunciation training, these two materials neglect the stages of comprehension, analysis, application and appraisement. Meanwhile, there are little practice for words and sentences, and imbalance training among different stages. Applied and creative trainings are also not enough.Reference to the "Advanced education of foreign students’Chinese long-term training syllabus", these two teaching materials still need to improve the practice design and arrangement. For example, they could enrich the practice of guess the meaning for application, analysis and appraisement. Meanwhile, the proportion of creative practice is relative low, which is not good for foster learning comprehension capability. During the cognitive process, the output practices are unevenly distributed.Based on the summary of shortcomings of teaching materials, we provide several suggestions of listening material compilation.
