Network, as a resource of information of all kinds across cultures, regions and spaces, can help translators enhance their expertise as well as the quality of their translations. As for engineering translation, translators can make use of this resource as a means to enrich their knowledge of the background information of a specific field beforehand, to seek and check specialized vocabulary and to comprehend and deal with professional texts in the translating process, and to exchange experience and views with colleague after translating. In this course, network makes the translation task convenient, simpler and full of pleasure.This report, based on the author’s practical translation of Agreement for Landfill Leachate Water Treatment Services, is focused on the application of network resource in engineering translation. It consists of four chapters. Chapter One introduces the background and objective of the practical translation task with a brief sketch of the main content of this report. Chapter Two is a brief review of the application of network means in translation with regard to its development, advantages and disadvantages, and specific utilizations. Chapter Three, the main body of this report, is the case study based on the practical translation of Agreement for Landfill Leachate Water Treatment Services. Chapter Four is a summary, which presents the achievements and lessons of the practical translation experience, and the problems to be solved in the future.
