| There are varieties of adverbs in modern Chinese, in Mr. ChenWangdao’s Brief Grammar, he divided adverb into two categories,limiting adverbs and modifying adverbs. While in Mr. Wang Li’s ChinaModern Grammar, he divided the adverb into eight categories, includingadverbs of degree, ranging adverbs, adverbs of time, manner adverbs,negative adverb, necessary adverbs, modal adverbs and relative adverbs.Although the division methods vary from one to another, but most ofthe scholars take negative adverbs as an independent category. It provedthat the independence of negative adverbs in Chinese grammar systemhas been recognized by the majority of experts and scholars.The most common negative adverbs word in modern Chineseare"bu""mei(you)""bie" and "beng". From the semantic aspect, negativeadverbs are used to express the negative attitudes and aspirations whichan be used to negate the past, present or future time."mei(you)"iscommonly used to negate the past time while "bie"and "beng" are mainlyapplicable to discourage present and future actions. That is really difficultfor Mongolian students who haven’t studied enough Chinese to masterthe usage of so many words.Mongolian has a small amount of negativeadverbs."ügei (-güi)" and "bitegei"can be used to express most of thenegative meaning. That caused the difficulties of adapting to so manywords that are used to express negative meaning. In addition, the Chinesewords "bu" and "meiyou" are use in different occasions. However,Mongolian can used the "ügei" for both situation. So, this will furthercontributed to the distress of the Mongolian students. So some of thestudents by the interference from the mother tongue, used the wrong word.By distributing and withdrawing of the questionnaire, my paper compile the error types of Mongolian students when they use Chinese negativewords improperly.Combined with the previous researches related to the negativeadverb, the paper will discuss the features of Chinese negative adverbsboth in semantics and pragmatics, and make a comparative analysis ofnegative adverbs between Chinese and Mongolian, in addition to theerrors which were collected during the negative adverbs learning. Thepaper got a conclusion that Mongolian students’ errors in Chinesenegative adverbs are mainly due to the impact of Negative Transfer andthe special human environment in Inner Mongolia. This paper putsforward some teaching suggestions afterwards. That is, the comparativeanalysis teaching in Mongolian and Chinese should combined withhighly targeted exercises and try to keep the Mongolian students awayfrom the Mongolian-speaking environment. They should not onlycommunicate with Mongolian nationalities but also Han nationalitystudents. Only in this way can they create a good Chinese learningenvironment.The article is divided into four parts: the first part is a briefintroduction to the reason of selecting the topic, the research methods andexisting achievement. The second part is the error analysis to the negativeadverbs’s problem in Mongolian students’ studying. The third part ismainly focus on comparison on both Chinese and Mongolian negativeadverbs’ semantics and position in the sentence.compared. The fourth partproposed appropriate teaching strategies for Mongolian students’ errors. |
