Application&Skills Of English Interpretation In Construction

This paper aims to study the development history of construction interpretation and its unique characteristics, as well as the position and role of interpreting in building construction.Taking consecutive interpreting and unique standard of interpretation quality as a breakthrough, the importance of advance preparation, listening, note-taking, short-term memory are attached, and the proportion of "Faithfulness, expressiveness and elegance" in construction interpretation is analyzed. Some factors as to impede interpreting have been found, and corresponding coping strategies and skills are proposed. At the same time, a series of practical measures concerning how to improve the interpretation quality of construction English are raised. It is hoped that these methods will be a guidance to provide some help for practice in this field.
