Object: To study the effects of dynamic hip screw(DHS) and skeletal tractiontreatment for treatment of senile femoral intertrochanteric fracture (EvansⅡ).Method:Based on Jiangsu’ and suzhou’ hospotal of TCM. Thirty two cases withfemoral intertrochanteric fracture (EvansⅡ) from 2005.09-2006.06 were divided intotwo groups randomly according to different treatment. Sixteen patients were treatedsurgically with DHS. Sixteen patients were treated conservatively with skeletal tractiontreatment. Comparing and analyzing the samplings’ sex, age, the primary affection, incorporating and the function of resuming, dealing with statistically and then get the result.Result: The effective rates and the incidence rates of coxa adducta of dynamic hipscrew(DHS) and skeletal traction treatment for treatment of senile femoral intertrochantericfracture (EvansⅡ) had no distinct difference by treating statistically (P>0.05), thesuperordinary rates of group DHS were significantly higher than that of group skeletaltraction treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion: DHS is relatively an ideal implant for treatment of femoralintertrochanteric fracture (EvansⅡ)at present and DHS has function of compression andsliding, which has benefit for early mobilization and weight loading. Considering theconstitution and economics of some patients, the skeletal traction treatment is nessary insome cases.
