Objective:based on medical colleges and universities, this study is aimed to promote better adapt to new medical college life and increase the mental health level. Methods:By university freshman role adaptation and interpersonal questionnaire,650freshmen in medical college were surveyed about their role adaptation and the status of psychological health survey. Result:The average of The Freshmen’s Role Adjustment Questionnaire Score was3.58, which indicated that the freshmen’s role adjustment was well. The whole average of the UPI indicated that the freshmen’s mental health was well. The freshmen’s role adjustment had obviously negative correlations with mental state health. Further regression analysis showed that freshmen’s role adjustment could forecast the score of UPI. They were status role, general role, and economic role, which enter into the regression equation. Conclusion: role adjustment and mental health influence each other. According to the characteristics of medical students, universities should, take necessary measure from the perspective of humanity care to reduce the students’ psychological pressure, and promote medical new role adaptation, for the comprehensive development of new medicine lay a good beginning.
