Background:Human digestive health has been threatened by liver cirrhosis for a longtime. The progression of destruction of liver parenchymal cells and stromal cells playan important role. The main treatment of end-stage liver disease is liver transplantcurrently. But this method can not be accepted by most patients because of shortagesupply source, immune rejection and expensive. It has become main issue of commonconcern that how to find a method to cure the end-stage liver disease and avoid theshortcomings above. The application of liver stem cells transplanting to therapy theliver cirrhosis has turned into the central issue in recent years. This method caneffectively prevent the defects above. The main advantages are those including lowincidence of immune rejection, reducing pains during treatment and also afforded bymost patients. But there is a little case about application of human umbilical cord bloodstem cell transplantation. So we observe different periods of the indicators aftertransplantation, analyze the value in every monitoring points for clinic treatment ofcirrhosis and the program has been approved by the ethics committee. Objective: To observe the efficacy of human umbilical cord blood stem cellstransplanting.Objects and Methods: The research objects are the liver cirrhosis patients, accordingto the the guideline of prevention and treatment for chronic hepatitis B, Choose14patients including12males,2females. Use the human umbilical cord blood as donor, separate and purify them and then transplant into the patient’s body via hepatic artery. Then we observe the liver function including albumin total bilirubin Alanineaminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase and the symptoms and complicationsof patients like mental, ascites and appetite bilirubin in every time monitoring points. The patients with HBV DNA positive use the antiviral drugs after transplanting.Compare the results and analyze the result with application of SPASS16.0. at last.Weevaluate the score of patients according to child-pugh standard before and aftertransplanting.Result1.Laboratory indicators:1.1Albumin: The albumin of the14patients who still are alive after transplanting andalways followed-up have a minor upgrade in1week after treatment and then improvedobviously in the observation. During the observation time, the average value was39.6g/L, the highest albumin value reached48.3g/L. The lowest value was29g/L.when observation is over, This one always below the normal level35g/L. The rest ofthem have reached the normal point (exceeding35g/L).1.2Prothrombin activity: The observation results of prothrombin activity shows that inall14of patients, It is13cases whose value surpass the normal persons. That meansthe value cross70%.4results of the value measure up the normal levels in1weekafter the treatment. This observation is basically as the same with the albumin. Only1value of person had not got the normal level during the observation time.1.3Alanine aminotransferase and Aspartate aminotransferase: In the14patients, thereare5patients with abnormal ALT before transplanting and8patients with abnormalAST. We analyze and observe the results of these patients and find out that the value ofALT and AST had a different levels of reducing after the treatment. The ALT and ASTof all the patients declined to normal level in1week after transplanting. 1.4Bilirubin: In all14cirrhosis patients, there are11patients with abnormal bilirubinThe level of Bilirubin has no differences statistics compared to the value before thetreatment. All of patients.Bilirubin level go down to normal level in2months aftertransplanting.2. Related complications: During the observation time, Ascites occurred repeatedly in2cases, rash in1case.3. child-pugh standard:We evaluate the score of14patients according to child-pughstandard before and after transplanting. The average value before transplanting is8.571,The average value after observation is5.571.Conclusion: The treatment of human umbilical cord blood stem cells transplanting cancontrol the process of end-stage cirrhosis. This research is worthy of recognition inthreaping the end-stage cirrhosis through the observation in every monitoring points.
