Analysis Of Research Status Of Green Hospital In China Based On Bibliometrics

Objectives To understand green hospital research status in China and its evolutionhistory, to find out problems of green hospital in China, and to provide valuableinformation for green hospital researehers and hospital managers to strengthen hospitalmanagement innovation researeh.Methods:1416documents on green hospital in China national knowledge internet(CNKI) from the period of January,1979to December2013were analyzed. The relatedinformation were selected to store in computers and a database was set up. Excel,SPSS16.0, UCINET were chosen as major means for data statistics. Years, numbers,bibliographic types, published journals, sources of fund, distributions of the authors andkey words were analyzed.Results A total of1416papers were found, green Hospital thesis increases year byyear. There were899Journal articles, of which, the number of onymous documents was765. These documents were distributed in365journals. By the Bradford’s Law, the paperhas confirmed16Core Periodicals. There were29core authors published127(16.6%)papers, which indicated there were no stable core authors in Green Hospital study of theformation, the number of the core authors still needs to be expanded. The average yieldof the author’s paper needs to be improved.; research institutions with more than5(including5) papers were12; Only13of them got funded, accounting for1.45%of totaljournal papers. These papers involved39disciplines, the highest frequency of100words roughly distributed in four relatively concentrated areas, which were GreenHospital environment, people-oriented, comprehensive hospital and hospital cultureconstruction. Conclusions Green Hospital study is in the development period from formativeperiod to maturity period, yet it is not mature. Green Hospital research was not highlyrecognized and valued enough. The focus studies of Green Hospital areas includingGreen Hospital building and its design and application examples, exploring the conceptof green design and the concept of Green Hospital renovation and expansion. It’snecessary to promote the further development of Green Hospital research via differentmethods, such as strategic position definiting of Green Hospital building, increasinginvestment, the establishment of leading dominance of cross-disciplinary, encouragingmulti-sectoral participation, promoting Green Hospital marketing, increasing brandeffect, absorbing advanced technologies and methods, increasing normative andscientific of research and promoting the application of the results.
