Statistical Analysis Of Articles Published In The Military Hospital In Beijing From2007to2012

Objective：To investigate the statistics of academic papers published of a military hospital inBeijing during2007-2012, and to analysis some factors including the number ofpublished papers, time distribution, subject distribution, and a look into the distributionof First Author’s background, title and the age ranges. To understand the trends ofpapers published in hospital, and summrize the successful experiences and problems,it is puts forward some proposals for reference of future papers published in hospital.Methods：Datas from CNKI system, CBM system and hospital Library. Literature retrievalconditions date set for2007-2012years, and defines the data gathered in the GeneralHospital of Beijing Military Region, durig6years of data. Analysis from the aspects ofthe quantity, time distribution, journals, subject distribution, research content, the firstauthor, title, background and the age ranges.Results: General Hospital of Beijing Military Region produced6199domesticpapers and159SCI durig2007—2012，and the number of paper spublished in each yearincreased. The paper productivity has seen an up—going trend. The distribution ofpaper productivity is not even among institutions．The periodicals covered are primarilythe local joumals or the Journals established by military.The top10periodicals whichpublished1327papers(21.4％). The intemational papers increase rapidly interms ofPublication counts.Conclusion：The study found that the number of academic papers, the hospital wasthe overall growth trend in2007-2012. Especially the rapid growth of the number of SCI since2009. The hospital6years of published scientific papers have improved inquantity and quality. The key subject of paper output than the major, senior professionaltitle, master’s degree or above, medical personnel are the main force of paper output.But on the other hand, reflect the paper output of Mechanical Department of unbalanceddevelopment, the core author group has not formed, publishing journals mainly by thearmy and the military, journal quality is not high; English thesis realized thebreakthrough in amount, but the impact factor is still low, lack of high level of articlesetc.
