| Objective:To analyze characteristics of the nonspecific pattern of pulmonary function, and discuss the clinical significance.Methods:Analyze5259cases of pulmonary function examination report in QiLu hospital of Shandong university during the period from2013.8.1to2014.2.lAnd356subjects’ pulmonary function test results show reduced FEV1and FVC with a normal or elevated FEV1/FVC.And65adult subjects submitted to total lung volume(TLC) measured in a body plethysmograph or assessed by gas dilution techniques. According to the results of TLC, the subjects are divided into nonspecific pattern(TLC is normal). restrictive ventilatory dysfunction (TLC is reduced). We used SPSS19.0software to compare sex, age, BMI, and characteristics of lung function parameters between the restrictive group and nonspecific group. Results: 1.356subject with the lung function results that shows reduced FEV1and FVC, with a normal or elevated FEV1/FVC,accounting for6.7%of all lung function subjects, including65patients with TLC measurement.2. There are no statistical difference in age, sex, smoking history and BMI between nonspecific and restrictive group.Compared to the restrictive group, the nonspecific group had higher VC%pred,FVC%pred,TLC%pred, RV%pred,RV/RLC, all of whom had statistical difference (P<0.05).And the most distinguishing feature of the nonspecific pattern were the elevated RV and RV/TLC,56.5%of the subjects show elevated RV,78.3%of the subjects show elevated RV/TLC.3. The clinical diagnosis of nonspecific pattern included10cases of asthma,3cases of chronic bronchitis,2cases of bronchiectasis,2cases of interstitial lung disease, lcase of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis,2cases of diagnosis is not clear. The most common disease is asthma.Conclusions:1. The lung function result that show reduced FEV1and FVC, with a normal or elevated FEV1/FVC is not uncommon, and clinicians should pay attention to it.2. Constitute the lung function of nonspecific changes of main disease body, includes obstructive disease also includes limiting disease. The most common disease for bronchial asthma.3. In patients with the lung function tests that show reduced FEV1, reduced FVC, and a normal or elevated FEV1/FVC ratio, lung volumes need to be further determined. |
