Backgrounds:Children Autism is one kind of the most representative, widely developmental disorder disease.This disease often onsets before the age of three whose core symptoms are having barriers in social interaction and communication, having repetitive behaviors and narrow interests. Due to the short of effective treatment methods for the time being, comprehensive treatment including educational intervention in main and drug treatment as supplement were adopted which the results were not good enough. In recent years, the the incidence of Children Autism was showing an increasing trend. China classified the Children Autism disease in the category of mental disability in2006.The parents’ mental health and life quality will be serious affected by long-term taking care of their autistic children. Through locating the factors which may influence the parent’s mentation and their life quality, it will be helpful for the parents to reduce stress and improve life quality, which can help the parents to integrate better in the children autism rehabilitation therapy and get better treatment results.Objectives:To investigate the parents’mental health and evaluate the life quality of the autistic children’s parents, analysis the relevant factors which may influence the life quality of the autistic children’s parents.Methods:Carry on a questionnaire survey on97cases of autistic children who are having rehabilitation treatment in Jinan Children’s Health Center and the rehabilitation center of Jinan Disables Person’s Federation with Clinical Symptom Checklist (SCL-90), and survey parents with the Quality of Life Questionnaire (GQOLI-74). Enter data with Epidata3.0and analysis the data with SPSS18.0. Use Chi-square test, independent sample test, analysis of variance, multiple linear regression statistical methods.Main Results:In this survey, the ratio of autism between boys and girls is4.71:1, the average age getting this disease is2.19, the age of confirming the disease is2.85, the age of beginning treatment is3.18.The total scores of the autistic children’s parents are a littlehigher that they are easily turn up9symptoms such as prone to somatization,obsessive-compulsive symptoms, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety, hostility, paranoia, psychotic symptoms etc..The autistic children’s parents are significantly lower than normal children’s parents in the following aspects:the total score of life quality, substance function, physical function, psychological function, and social function. The symptoms of somatization and other aspects of boy’s patents are obvious than that of the girls’ parents, also lower than girls’parents obviously in social function.The SCL-90scores of autistic children’s parents whose children having this disease not more than one year are obviously higher than those whose children having this disease more than one year, they are easily having obsessive-compulsive symptoms, interpersonal sensitivity and hostility symptoms.The life quality of the parents having jobs is better than those with no job in substance function, physical function and mental function. College educated parents, compared with parents with other cultural level, have better mental health, life quality, physical function and social function; and are lower in other aspects such as SCL-90scores, somatization, interpersonal relationships, anxiety, hostility, paranoia, psychosis.The material life dimension of those parents with an average income more than3000RMB per month is higher than those with an average income lower than2000RMB per month. Parents who living in countryside are easier appear interpersonal sensitivity and hostility symptoms than those who living in city. The parents’s negative emotions and physical discomfort have significant negative predictor of their mental health.Conclusion:Autistic children’s parents have a low life quality with poor metal health. The children’s sexuality, parent’s occupation, cultural degree, income and living environment may influence the autistic children’s parents’t mental health and life quality. The autistic children’s parents will have a better mental health if their negative emotion and physical discomfort are lighter.Suggestion:Pay more attention to the autistic children’s parents; establish family and social system for autistic children; reduce the family burden; increase psychological intervention on autistic children’s parents and improve their life quality and metal health, to improve the rehabilitation effect on the autistic children.
