Objective Facial emotion is an important community of human information carriers.It is important for quickly and accurately recognize the facial emotions in the socialcommunication. Not recognizing and understanding facial emotions in autism of Socialdifficulties. Previous studies are designed for autism for underlying mood or acomplex emotion recognition ability analysis, few studies relating to their parents. Thisresearch aims at analysis between the parents of autism children and normal children onthe recognition of facial emotion; further discussion on there is a possibility of geneticfor emotional face recognition.Methods Experimental group for the parents of behavior training autistic childrenin32cases in Spring Bud in Hefei city Association of assistance for persons withdisabilities, between November2009and April2011. The children passes through thefirst affiliated hospital of Anhui Medical University Clinic with pediatric doctorsdiagnose. Meeting the diagnostic of DSM-IV criteria for autism children. This researchalso on the adoption of children with childhood autism rating scale and crane gamesautism behavior scale, to assess both meets the diagnostic criteria for autism at the sametime. To study on the experimental group of parents of the children with, men8andwomen24cases.Control groups for32parents of normal children, on finding in physical, neurological,mental health check with somatic diseases and nervous system diseases from the region.According to the gender and age of the child, to match the age and schooling of theparents of child. Requirements children ages differ by not more than three months in theexperimental group, closer in the age and schooling of parents. The parents of thechildren included in the control group, men8and women24cases.Through a suite of neuropsychological tests including the line segment determine the background, digit span climb back and down back, Minimum Mental State Examination,and computer rendered six basic emotions faces test on32cases between parents ofautistic children and normal children in face recognition abilityResults For the experimental group children with childhood autism rating scale andcrane games autism behavior scale evaluation score (31.38±4.91,16.75±3.34),bothmeet the diagnostic criteria for autism, their average age (5.05±2.3). Age between theexperimental group and the control group (33.31±4.68,33.06±4.07,t=-0.23,P=0.82),gender (t=1.00, P=0.613), education life (9.69±4.51,9.63±4.43,t=-0.06,P=0.96),MMSE (29.56±0.50,29.69±0.47,t=1.03,P=0.31), digit span along the back (8.44±0.88per cent±0.78,t=-0.60,P=0.55),digit span back(5.06±1.95,5.31±1.24,t=0.15,P=0.88),direction determination(20.88±5.67,21.19±5.04,t=0.23,P=0.82)On the facial emotion recognition, there is a significant difference for identified sixbasic facial expressions always right,"fear" and " disgusted " correct scoring in theexperimental group and the control group (82.69±7.74,96.06±8.50,t=6.58;6.56±3.41,12.50±2.74,t=4.02;11.63±3.17,16.63±1.83,t=7.73; P<0.01)。"Sad" facedifference scores than children of parents (15±4.10,18.25±3.26,t=3.51; P<0.05).Other facial expression recognition scores, respectively as "surprised" expressioncorrect score (15.06±3.45,15.31±4.15, t=0.26,P=0.79), the "angry" face correctscore (15.06±3.64,15.62±3.89, t=0.60, P=0.55),"happy" face correct score (19.38±0.94,19.88±0.36, t=2.83, P=0.06) no significant differencesConclusion The autistic children parents are impaired in affective the abilities offace recognition, and to prove that autistic the abilities of face recognition deficit relatedto heredity.
